I've been writing songs since I was young. Before taking a long break from music to raise my family, I spent many years writing, recording and performing, including working with musicians and producers who helped shape my early musical life.

Eventually, I found my way back to songwriting and making records, rediscovering something that had always been an important part of who I am.

My music is rooted in songwriting, with guitar and occasionally piano at its heart. I write about the things that matter to me — love, loss, loneliness, hope, doubt, relationships and the strange experience of being alive.

What matters most to me is honesty. I'm not interested in making music simply to follow a trend or create an image. I want the songs to mean something to me first, and hopefully mean something to the person listening.

That's really what this website is about: the songs, the stories behind them, and the words that make them what they are.
